The gray-haired Jack Kovorkian (Al Pacino Al Pacino) is a controversial doctor in Michigan. In his decades of career, he has seen countless people suffering from illness, but unable to survive and die. Jack firmly believes that the duty of doctors is not only to do their best to treat patients, but also to put themselves in their shoes and meet their needs, including their desire to die. So Jack tried to euthanize patients who had lost hope in their lives. But his approach met with unanimous opposition from the general public, who reprimanded him for depriving patients of their lives and gave him the nickname "death doctor". In this process, only sister Margo (Brenda Vaccaro) and a few friends silently support Jack's work. Jack never flinched in the face of great pressure. He was well aware of the sufferings of the patients, so he would not hesitate to help them get out of prison.
