Mark (Mark Fletchett Mark Frechette) is arrested by the authorities along with his classmates and teachers in a student revolution about anti-war and democracy organized by American students. in a growing confrontation between the two sides, Mark kills a policeman, and the authorities immediately hunt him down. Mark begins a flight after stealing a small plane at the airport. Dalia (Dalia Springling Daria Halprin), who works as a secretary in a commercial company, is driving to Phoenix when Mark happens to find him throwing a red dress at her from the air. As they walked together, Dalia agreed to drive Mark to find gasoline. They talked about everything on the road. Mark told her about his revolutionary experiences and their crazy intimacy in a wasteland called Cape Zabriski. After the plane was filled with gas, Mark painted the plane in a strange and bright pattern and parted happily with Dalia. Dalia continued to drive to Phoenix, but received the news that Mark had been shot dead by the police.
