The show was created by Alan Ball, the producer of True Blood. The story takes place in the town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where lucas (Anthony Starr Antony Starr), an once-imprisoned fraud master and bandit, gets the identity of Sheriff Banshee and replaces him as a local law enforcement officer. Brock (Matt Soweto Matt Servitto), the longest-serving police officer in town, had hoped to become sheriff, but the arrival of lucas threatened his status. Lucas discovers that his former lover Carrie (Ioana Milisevic Ivana Milicevic) changes his name to live in a small town and marries the local prosecutor. On the one hand, lucas continues to commit crimes in secret with his new legal identity, and on the other hand, Mr. Rabbit (Ben Klaus Ben Cross), a ruthless Ukrainian gangster, has been tracking lucas and Carrie for 15 years. But everything changed after lucas entered the town of Banshee.
