The new film directed by Michael Bay, based on Mitchell Zuckoff's novel of the same name, is a political film. On September 11, 2012, an anti-American demonstration took place in front of the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. After nightfall, dozens of militants stormed the consulate. The demonstration turned violent, resulting in the death of four people, including US ambassador Christopher J. Stevens. This is also the first US ambassador to be killed by terrorists in 33 years. The film "13 hours of crisis" is based on this real event.
