1987: When The Day Comes (2017)

After "the pursuer" and "the Yellow Sea," Kim Yoon-seok and Ho Jung-woo joined forces again in 1987, a film set in South Korea's June democracy struggle. It tells the story of what happened to the people who revealed the truth of the incident against the public security authorities who tried to hide the incident after the leader of the mass movement named Park Jong-chul was arrested and tortured to death by the police. After the murder of Park Jong-chul was exposed by the media that year, it directly triggered a democratic protest movement against the dictatorship of Chun Doo-Wan in June. in the end, Chun Doo-Wan was forced to accept the Declaration of June 29, and the regime fell soon after.
