The film is based on a true story in France. One day in July 1982, the man learned of his daughter's death. His daughter, who was only 14 years old, was on holiday with her mother and stepfather in Germany before she died. But soon, her death was in doubt. The biological father struggled with the French court and the German prosecutor's office over the true cause of his daughter's death for 30 years, but Germany refused to extradite his daughter's stepfather to France for trial. In the end, the biological father kidnapped him to France for trial.
