Giacomo Casanova (Heath Ledger Heath Ledger) is a famous libertarian in Venice. From the countess to the abstinence nun, it seems that every woman can not resist his wisdom and flirtatiousness. Finally, his debauchery angered the religious bureau, and after his arrest, he was nearly hanged. Fortunately, his friend appeared in time to turn the tide. A friend warned Casanova that if he could not find a decent woman to marry, he would be expelled from Venice. Casanova's mother left him when he was young and promised to come to Venice to reunite with him in the future. Casanova has always believed this promise. In order to wait for his mother, he had to stay in Venice even if he put on the shackles of marriage. Casanova meets Francesca (Sienna Miller Sienna Miller) by chance. Frans Sika is avant-garde, full of poems and books, and advocates equality between men and women, all of which have a fatal attraction for Casanova, who is used to meeting shallow women. But on the one hand, both of them have unfulfilled marriages. On the other hand, the intelligent Francesca is as difficult to tame as a tough pony. Casanova must make great efforts to catch.
