This film is adapted from a real event. At the end of the 19th century, Ignacio de la Torres married Poferio Diaz, the daughter of the Mexican president. Ignacio led a double life: he rose to fame in the traditional political world and was a member of a secret society. He maintained this delicate balance until he became acquainted with Evaristo, the 42nd member of the community. Once, his party (also known as "Secret Dance 41") was raided by the police, which led to the exposure of the scandal and caused an uproar.
