Destello bravío (2021)

Spanish female director Eindhoa Rodriguez's feature-length debut, using non-professional actors from a female perspective, tells the mysterious story of "restless rooms" of women left behind in remote villages in southern Spain. The film's weird electronic soundtrack and metaphorical photography make ordinary daily life blurred and dreamy. The film was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the 2021 Rotterdam International Film Festival and won the best director award at the 2021 Vilnius International Film Festival.
