In 1941, there was a fierce battle between the British and German armies in North Africa, and the British troops retreated one after another. Corporal Blanbaugh (Franchot Tone) is left behind by a tank and stumbles into the Queen Hotel of the Egyptian Farad, where the German-Italian coalition command is stationed almost at the same time. Blanbao disguises as a hotel waiter, Davos, waiting for a chance to escape, surprised to find that Marshal Rommel is close at hand, and he pretends to be a German spy, Blanbao decides to stay in order to find out the details of the "Operation five Tombs" of the German supply plan, but also has feelings for the hotel's French hostess (Anne Baxter). Soon the Queen Hotel ushered in a group of British prisoners, Blanbao got in touch with each other and finally found out the truth of Operation five Tombs, but Schweger (Peter van Eyck), a German officer who had been planning something for Mus, had doubts about him. Blenbaugh had the intelligence in hand, but she had to face the heavy test of the fate of the country and personal feelings.
