Paul。 Butterfield is an American blues harmonica player and singer. His blues background came from his hometown of Chicago, where he met blues masters such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Sonny Boy Williamson, and with their encouragement, he began to take part in a number of impromptu performances. It wasn't long before Butterfield began to perform with friends such as Nick Gravinites and Irving Bishop. In 1963, Butterfield organized Paul. Butterfield Blues (Paul Butterfield Blues Band) recorded several successful albums and became popular at music festivals in the late 1960s
