Il buco (2021)

In the 1960s, when the economy was booming, the rich north of Italy was building the tallest building in Europe, while at the other end of the country, young speleologists explored Europe's deepest caves in the unspoiled hinterland of Calabria. The bottom of the Bifulto abyss, 700 meters below the ground, will usher in a human visit for the first time. The nearby villagers did not notice the explorers, but the old shepherd of the Polino Plateau noticed that his solitary life began to be intertwined with their adventures.
