Lenin in October (1937)
On the train from Helsinki, Finland to St. Petersburg, Russia, the make-up Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (Sturkin Boris Shchukin) and his loyal Weituvasili are excited and uneasy, excited that Lenin, who has ended his exile, will return to his homeland to lead the working class to stage an armed uprising, overthrow the czarist rule and establish the Soviet Socialist Federation. What is perturbed is that after the abdication of the czar, the emerging bourgeois regime is supported by more than a dozen imperialist countries, and armed explosion will be beset with difficulties. The interim government hired spies to hunt Lenin everywhere, but without success. The Central Committee held a historic meeting. After the meeting, Vassili faithfully carried out the task assigned to him by the superior party (Bolshevik) organization. For Lenin's safety, he arranged for Lenin to stay at his home for the night. Lenin learned from Vassili the situation in the countryside and Matveyev's knowledge of the labor movement. Lenin made a correct judgment according to the revolutionary situation.
