Louis Teru (Louis Theroux) went to King's College Hospital in London and went deep into the lives of patients suffering from severe alcoholism and the health care workers who tried to help them. Most people associate addicts with illegal drugs, but drinking is the number one addict in the UK. Many of us drink too much, sometimes too much, but the patients Louis meets are often drunk to the point of self-destruction.
