In 1910, Mahler, known as the "music tyrant", found that his beloved wife was having an affair, and the third party was Walter Gropius, the founder and architect of Bauhaus. Suffering from the torment of Mahler, he went to the Netherlands to find Freud who was on vacation to speak his mind. Mahler, who was initially unwilling to receive psychotherapy, had no choice but to sit in Freud's patient bed and recall the encounter with Aima, the 19-year-old younger wife: the two were passionately in love and admired each other. But after marriage, Mahler strictly forbids his wife to chase her dream of composing music. After the death of their daughter, their marriage began to hit the rocks, leading to his wife's infidelity. A conversation with Freud made Mahler confident that he had found a way to save the marriage. More than 100 years after Mahler's death, the film unveils the love story of a generation of classical legendary musicians.
