The characters in the shelter are played by real underage mothers, and a large number of close-ups and close-ups capture their most realistic expressions and reactions. Kara Quilez's performance was very infectious and won the Best Actress Award at the 2022 San Sebastian International Film Festival on her first big screen appearance.
