The old woman Nabat and her husband Iskandar live in a remote cabin far from the village. Iskandar, once a member of the Forest Patrol, is seriously ill and is now recuperating at home. The war had ravaged the place for a long time, and their son was killed at the front. The only source of income for the old woman's family is a cow, who goes to the village to sell milk every few days. The dark clouds of war hung over the earth, the village was gradually deserted, and the life of the old woman was difficult. Adapted from a story heard by Azerbaijani director Elchin Musaoglu during the collapse of the Soviet Union, Nabat premiered in the horizon unit of the 2014 Venice Film Festival.
