In this film based on Shakespeare's play the Tempest, the director Grinnaway gives full play to his whims and shows a promising imagination. Prospero made up a picture of the Tempest in his mind, and whenever the characters appeared on the stage, he said their lines for them. The film can be seen as another new version of the Storm. The actor's performance is very measured and pleasing to the eye, and the audience will have a feeling of enjoying the feast. Of course, the film poses an extraordinary challenge to the audience, and it is obvious that only those who are familiar with Shakespeare's "the Tempest" can better appreciate it.
