Young couple Ben (Sebastian Stein Sebastian Stan) and Kelly (Ashley Greene Ashley Greene) drive to their parents' house in a lonely town in the middle of the California wilderness to start a new life. However, from the first day they arrived, strange phenomena appeared one after another inside and outside the house and could not be explained by common sense. The accidental death of a pet dog without warning seems to herald the beginning of a horrific experience. All sorts of horrible experiences force Ben to ask his college friend Patrick (Tom Felton Tom Felton) for help. Patrick and his colleagues conducted a psychic experiment to summon ghosts, which directly led to the misfortune of Ben's then girlfriend Lidia (Juliana Gul Julianna Guill). Now everything that happens to Ben seems to be closely related to the events of that year.
