The Black Adder (1983 - 1989)
The film is set at the end of the Rose War in England and tells the story of the Tudor dynasty in England. King Richard III of York, the archrival of the Lancaster royal family, died during the Battle of the Persian Plains and was succeeded by his nephew Richard IV, who ruled for many years. Richard IV's two sons, the eldest son Harry the Prince of Wales (Robert Easter Robert East), is the expected heir to the throne, but he is a madman. The youngest son, Prince Edmund (Rowan Atkinson Rowan Atkinson), is clumsy, stupid and arrogant, shamed by the royal family and the whole family. However, it was Prince Edmund, who called himself "Blackadder I", who tried to take the throne from his father and brother. With the help of two followers, Percy (Tim McNerney Tim McInnerny), the only stupid aristocrat who respects him, and Baldrick (Tony Robinson Tony Robinson), a clever farmer, they begin their seemingly great plan to seize power.
