In 1884, during the British colonial war against Sudan. Harry Farnsham (Heath Ledger Heath Ledger), a British officer from an officer's family, has just got engaged to his fiancee Daiqi (Kate Hudson Kate Hudson). However, after learning that his elite troops were going to sail to Sudan to fight local Muslims, Harry resigned and left the army amid hopes for a happy life and fears and doubts about war. To mock Harry's cowardice, three of his friends and Daisy sent him four white feathers symbolizing shame. The pain of betrayal and the death list coming from the front constantly tortured Harry, and he felt deep guilt and remorse. In order to save his honor, Harrijo pretended to be an Arab and went to Sudan to save the lives of his comrades-in-arms. This film is adapted from A.E.W.Mason 's novel of the same name.
