At the beginning of the Pacific War, the US military put its troops into the battlefield in Europe, unable to recover the war in the Philippines, resulting in the capture of 10,000 US troops and 60,000 Philippine troops on the Bataan Peninsula. The Japanese army has been cruel to these prisoners of war, and the military decided to slaughter the prisoners in January 1944. This film tells the story of four days in January 44. Ranger Captain Prince, who belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Muxi, accepted the task of rescuing 500 American troops in a prisoner-of-war camp during General MacArthur's northward journey, which had to be highly secretive because the Japanese showed no mercy to prisoners of war. At the same time, Major Gibson (Joseph Fiennes Joseph Fiennes) in the POW camp is struggling to survive and obtain outside information. Although there are local nurses such as Margaret and others trying to help prisoners of war, there has always been a shortage of medicine. In order to carry out the slaughter order, the gendarmerie officer Changjing took over the POW camp, while outside the POW camp, the Rangers finally arrived at their destination after a secret march, and the success or failure of the rescue will soon be revealed.
