Fred (Humphrey Bogart Humphrey Bogart) and Bob (Tim Holt Tim Holt) are two destitute tramps. One day, in a bar, they heard the news about the gold mine from the smart Howard (Walter Houston Walter Huston). The desperate two men came up with the idea of panning for gold. They pretended to be hunters and were stationed on the mountain. After all kinds of hardships and setbacks, the lucky three found a gold mine. However, with the increase in the amount of gold sand, there was a rift between the three people who had trusted each other. In a downhill shopping process, a young man named Cody (Bruce Bennett Bruce Bennett) discovers their secret, and the following Cody says he wants a piece of the pie, and the trio decide to kill it quickly. At this juncture, a group of bandits began to march up the hill. what they wanted was the "animal skins" hunted by the three "hunters". Under the trend of all kinds of intrigue and greedy nature, the three people who originally had a bright future went to the disillusioned end.
