Tidal Wave (2009)
The story takes place in Haiyuntai, Busan, South Korea. In the 2004 Indonesian tsunami, Captain Wan Zhi (Xue Jingqiu)'s mistake led to the death of Yeon-hee (he Zhiyuan)'s father. He deeply blamed himself and took meticulous care of the neighbor's sister. However, Wu Dongchun (Jin Renquan), a high school classmate of Wan Zhi, is not optimistic about this pair of unlucky lovebirds. Wan Zhi's younger brother Heng Zhi (Li Minji) is a lifeguard at sea. In an operation, he met the rich lady Jin Ximei (Jiang Yiyuan), and the two made a lot of misunderstandings in the wrong relationship. Virgin (Yan Zhenghua) promotes Hai Yuntai to become an ambassador for the World Expo tourist attraction. She has a daughter with her ex-husband Jin Hui (Park Joong-hoon), a geological expert at the International Oceanographic Institute, but she has found another lover. Dr. King was very upset about this. At the same time, he found that the geological conditions in the East China Sea of Damascus and Haiyuntai were the same as the 2004 Indonesian tsunami. A rare huge tsunami was approaching Haiyuntai, but the disaster Defense Agency did not approve of this.
