The story takes place in Britain after World War II. Mrs. Forrester (Shelly Winters Shelley Winters) is a widow who lost her daughter in her early years. Mrs. Forrester loves children very much, so every Christmas, she holds a big party at home to entertain the lovely children in the local orphanage. The children affectionately call her Aunt Xiao Dou. The Combs are also members of the orphanage, but they are mischievous and often get into trouble, so they are not selected to attend Mrs. Forrester's party this year. Of course, these two eccentric children will not sit idly by, and their brother Christopher (Mark Lester Mark Lester) sneaks into Mrs. Forrester's mansion with his sister, who discovers Mrs. Forrester's secret.
