Sam (Toby Maguire Tobey Maguire) goes to the prison to pick up his brother Tommy (Jack Gyllenhaal Jake Gyllenhaal) who is released from prison. When I got home, my mother gave me a warm welcome, but my father was cynical. Sam served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was sent to Afghanistan, so the party was not only to pick Tommy up, but also to see Sam off. My father always compared the perfect Sam to the bad Tommy and made the latter leave angrily. Sam reluctantly bid farewell to his wife Grace (Natalie Portman Natalie Portman) and his two daughters and went to battlefield. Unfortunately, his Black Hawk helicopter was shot down and he and his subordinates were captured. Deterred by the prowess of the Afghan thugs, Sam was forced to give in and killed his subordinates with his own hands, which filled him with contradictions. The rear thought Sam had been killed and the whole family was in grief. Awakened Tommy determined to change himself, slowly integrated into the family, not only the father-son relationship has eased, but also with Grace and the children comfort each other, have a subtle relationship. Then came the news that Sam had survived. This film is remade from the 2004 film Brothers of Blood.
