Laurie Bergman (El Pacino) is the trump card producer of CBS's "60 minutes" and has always worked closely with the respected host Mike Wallace (Christopher Prammer). Joffrey Wigan (Russell Crowe) has just been fired by Big Tobacco, and his life seems to have hit rock bottom. Bergman received a report showing that cigarettes made by tobacco companies were harmful to people and asked Wigan to translate them. From then on, however, Wigan felt that someone was following him and posing a great threat to his family. The tobacco company reminded Wigan of the confidentiality agreement he signed with him that he would not be able to disclose any research on cigarette manufacturing to the public. Wigan does not want to lose the protection of his family's lives, such as health insurance, but he is being tortured by his conscience. He finally decided to announce all this to the outside world, even if it violated the confidentiality agreement. He recorded an episode of 60 minutes with Bergman and then went to Mississippi to testify against tobacco companies. However, the tobacco company applied for a speech ban faster than him, his wife left with two daughters, and the "60 points" program was banned by CBS. All this comes at a huge price.
